Comic-con Suggestions Most of the students in school would remember their experience of hiding their comics in their desks or lockers so that their teachers would not take them away or they would discourage students to read them because they are not educational and may hinder students from brain development or being smart. Which may lead students to get distracted from school and learning what is truly educational, that is why they are considered to be a distraction in every student’s studies and thus confiscated when brought to school.

Even as a student, you can’t help keeping yourself from browsing through that entertaining stories and enjoy your vacant time and end up bringing along that book despite school policies. Even though it is regarded as a trash there are still parts that we thought would contribute to our learning. When we open up our comic books, we encounter words that we may not be sure of we have read before. We can get curious with these kind of words and become interested in learning it definition. This is a good way for us to learn a new vocabulary and have fun while doing it, there is a big difference between homework, school requirement and doing research out of interest.

When we get interested with a certain topic we can easily learn and we can even learn fast, that is the good thing about having fun. There will be moments that being students will not be that bad, if we also try to learn with fun since kids should always have fun in their childhood, sometimes being too serious and not enjoying may also cause children to be worn out and thus discourage them more in studying.

There should always be a great balance between entertainment and educational fun, as long as there is time to have fun and study time. When you monitor them well with not failing to remember their responsibilities to study after their fun time then there will be no issue. The important thing is once they have enjoyed their free time they should still a lot their time with doing their homework and their studies.

There is no harm with having fun reading comics as long as it doesn't contain any violence, pornography, bad words or anything that can harm your children’s values. You should always ensure that what they are digesting or reading is also good and would not change the way they are thinking.
